What to expect

Every project is different, and your design process should reflect that. Depending on your needs, project scope, and goals, we’ll tailor the phases and level of service to fit your project.

While the path may vary, the process is designed to guide you from the first ideas through design, documentation, and construction—giving you a clear understanding of where we are, what decisions are needed, and what comes next.

Throughout the process, we’ll work together, communicate openly, and make decisions step by step to bring your vision to life.

Designing and building a home comes with a lot of decisions. Some are exciting others happen behind the scenes—from understanding your site and determining the right foundation to coordinating engineers, builders, systems, budgets, and approvals.

You shouldn’t have to navigate all of that alone.

Our process is comprehensive, collaborative, and designed around you. We’ll guide you through each phase, help you understand the decisions in front of you, and coordinate the many pieces required to turn an idea into a home.

We want designing your home to feel exciting—years from now, we hope you remember the process as part of the story of creating your home: the ideas, conversations, decisions, and moments when you began to see it all come together.

Because a thoughtfully designed home shouldn’t be reserved for a few.

PROJECT JOURNEY

From first spark to keys in hand — we’ll take the design journey together, step by confident step, until you finish with a home that feels curated to you.

START HERE

  • We get to know each other, your goals, site and budget. Together we define the vision and what is possible.

  • We explore ideas and develop the overall concept, massing and preliminary layouts. A lot of sketches during this phase.

  • We refine the design, select materials and systems, and coordinate with consultants. Your home start to get a real shape.

  • This is where the design is refined and detail drawings are produce for construction.

  • Assist in obtaining construction proposals from contractors and help select a builder.

  • Collaborate with builder, review submittals and respond to questions and visit the site.
